Comedy writer/performers Sarah Dean and Sophie Steel asked me to create the set for their street theatre installation. It was to be a booth from which they could provide members of the public answers to all sorts of questions. It was to be collapsable, and portable (ideally by two women travelling by public transport to festivals across the country along with all the rest of their camping stuff (i struggled to even imagine carrying my festival camping stuff on the train let alone anything else, but they are made of sterner stuff aparently) (are double brackets permitted?) ) whilst also being able to withstand the rain and wind often experienced at such summer festivals in the UK.
I hacked a double toilet tent to create a booth of amusement and mayhem.
