Who

  • I am Saga Arpino, a light loving city dweller.
  • I am a Royal College of Art trained glass artist specialised in the creative use of glass in architectural contexts.
  • Much of my work is focused on the nature and importance of public spaces and serves to enhance the quality of such spaces. I strive to create appropriate work with purpose, honesty, beauty and function.

Sponsored Venue Signs

Looking at ways to creatively identify festival venue sponsors.

Cuf

Festival Partner Church Urban Fund sponsored the Kitchen this year. With larger than life papier mache bottles, bowl and books I built a giant kitchen shelf. The monochrome colour scheme worked well with the raspberry used by CUF.


Bible film

I used a sweep of red carpet, mirrored lettering and white light for the film venue, which was sponsored by the Bible Society

Festival bowl third way

With ThirdWay sponsoring the Festival Bowl in 2010 I wanted to make a sign that co-ordinated with the finger pointers that were made last year. So continued the simple raw OSB theme, cutting the lettering with a jig-saw and got the thirdway logo cut by laser.
