On the 27th and 28th March I took over the beautiful but deadly cold Leftbank Leeds to give Greenbelters the opportunity to get crafty to contribute to the making of a large scale installation for the festival.
Numerous people had said that they wanted to get involved but that activities were so often in London or the South. Leeds is well located and connected, plus has a hub of Greenbelters, so it seemed to be a good place to host a workshop weekend. Whilst those that did attend were enthusiastic they were very few in number. An enormous amount of preparation was required for an event that in the end could have taken place around someones kitchen table. We tried, we learnt, we'll do someting better
